Cohiba cigars are made from the dark, rich, West African Cameroon wrapper, the supple and flavorful Jember Indonesian binder and choice Piloto Cubano leaves from the Dominican Republic.

The Cohiba cigar was initially developed for presentation only by officials of the Cuban government but became widely marketed after 1982. Today, many refer to Cohiba cigars as "red dot" Cohibas due to the markings on the band.

Also known as Cohiba XV, these cigars are made from Nicaraguan Ligero and Cuban seed Dominican Ligero long filler and three-year old Connecticut broadleaf binder.
