Cuba loss is our gain. For over forty years, he was considered the numero uno master cigar artisan in Cuba. It was Don Pepin Garcia job to teach the teachers. Now an expatriate, he plies his magic in a small factory on Miami Calle Ocho and in Esteli, Nicaragua. In El Rey de los Habanos, Inc., considered the hottest cigar factory in Miami, he supervises many of the same folks he trained in Cuba, but when Don Pepin retreats to the quietness of Esteli, Nicaragua, he is free to pursue his passion of cultivating tobaccos reminiscent of the varieties he employed in his native Cuba, particularly the famed Corojo 99 seed which he crosses with Nicaraguan Ligero and Piloto Cubano.
