Punch is a special, well-balanced, full flavored smoke with an exquisite bouquet and a magnificent, unsurpassed taste. Handmade in Honduras since 1969, world famous Punch Cigars feature an unusual blend of Cuban seed tobaccos from Honduras, Nicaragua and Dominican Republic plus Honduran binders and Sumatra seed Ecuadorian grown natural wrappers (the Punch Maduro cigars feature Connecticut broadleaf wrappers). Cuban cigar manufacturer Don Manuel Lopez created the original Punch cigar in 1840. In an effort to attract the British cigar market, Lopez named the cigar Punch after ‘Mr. Punch” of the British Punch and Judy puppet shows that were popular at the time. Punch cigars went on to enjoy tremendous popularity among the British and even attracted the attention of Sir Winston Churchill, who eventually lent his name to the cigar size in the Punch brand.
